There is one Chartered Accountancy partnership firm containing 7 partners. Can lawyer, Company Secretary and cost accountant become partner of CA Firm? If yes than can we open one division in firm call legal division & only of that division’s profit can be shared between partners & lawyer?

have worked in a organisation for 4 yrs 8 months, the PF withdrawal forms are submitted to previous employer after completing of 5 years 2 months, is this still taxable and if so what portion is taxable

I had recently joined a company in the month of Feb,2010 and resigned from there on 17th June,2010 during the period i had contributed 12% of my Basic salary as contributed towards EPF and my Employer also 12% i want to withdraw from the fund kindly advise me how i will claim from the fund.

I have recently changed my job and have got a new PF account with my current employer. However I have not requested for a closure or transfer of my PF account with my previous employer. Will that be an issue? Am I allowed to have two different PF accounts - albeit one is dormant? Also, how long can I have the previous PF account dormant - I read somewhere recently that the government / EPFO has set a maximum idle limit of 3 years?

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME THE BASIS OF CALCULATION OF SAVING BANK INTEREST RECEIVED FROM ANY NORMAL BANK?

I have taken on lease 10 acres (kile) for 3 years from a farmer. use will not be agriculture. Lease rent would be 2.25lakh per acre for 3 years (not per year). I have to pay complete rent (22.5 lakh) in advance to him. What would be TDS treatment to this payment.
