I cleared Ca final in May 2012. i got enrolled as a member in Nov 2012. I also have my membership Identity card (I am not in practice) Yesterday i received a communication from ICAI for Convocation of 2014. It is for membership nos (series) after mine lyk my no. is suppose 152345 so the range of membership nos for whom convocation is arranged is say 155000- 160000. The letter also says that members who were unable to take Certificate of Membership due to any reason in previous years can also collect theirs in this convocation.

My query is what exactly is Certificate of Membership? What purpose does it serve? Can i receive it by post without having to attend the convocation? Please reply.

I enter the concerned fields my membership no. and DOB, but there is no response and the fields remain the same, after clicking it several times.

No other message is getting.

If anyone paid the fee via online, pls advise what are the steps to be followed

problem is in my direct entry form idnt notice conversion option in that application..but i got new reg no..so now in my name i have 2 SRO no...soo is ther any problm ??? and i already finishd my itt and orientation in new number...

now wat should i do,bcz in my place all telling its problm for u in future..is it true???

I m a CA Final student, i have appeared May 2014 Exam. I want to do M.Com from Mumbai University (external) and LLB too. I have heard that a student cannot opt for two degrees from the same University.

Kindly advice what is beneficial for me with CA degree? M. Com or LLB.? Please guide urgently as i have few days left for registration.

Is tds u/s 194c applicable on service tax portion of the bill? for e.g. If i use the services of labour from a party of rs 112360; and the bill is clearly bifurcated into 100000 rs and service tax of 12360; how much tds should I deduct; On 112360 or on rs 100000?
