this formula will be applicable if the rates in bothe the years are different.
And if the rate is same then you can apply the following formula :
present value=Futurevalue(interest)/(1+r1)+Future value(interest+principle)/(1+r1)*(1+r1)
or
present value=Futurevalue(interest)/(1+r1)+Future value(interest+principle)/(1+r1)^2
So for different rate we have to put (1+r1).

How to show rate flactuation and exchange difference in BRC in India?
Dear Sirs,
How to fill BRC in bellow condition.
Situation:
Invoice Value is CIF USD 1000 ( exchange rate 44.50 as per shipping bill) = INR 44500.00
Paid Insurance INR 1000.00
Paid Freight INR 5000.00
Received Payment USD 980.00 ( exchange rate 45.50 as per bank advice) = 44590.00
In Column no. 14: already mentioned 9 - (10+11+12) , means the total of column 10,11&12 to be substracted from the column no. 9 which will be INR 38500.00,
So how it will be matched with the amount realised ( USD 980.00 or INR 44590.00)
Kindly tell me proper sollution in above situation and clear the concept to fill the BRC as well .
Thanks & regards
Jitendra
