i have done b.com with 58percent mark. can i be exempted from cpt dec 2011 exam or i have to write it.

hi...i have just now started my articleship and i am handed over the last year balance sheet , current year trial balance, ledger,cash book to prepare receipts and payment a/c, income and expenditure a/c and balance sheet of the concern......I am unable to do it as i am completely confused with my own concepts.....Can anyone tell me how to prepare those accounts ?

Import goods from overseas, first all the payment made in US$. On receipt of consignment, the same was not upto mark, hence rejected in india. Asked the overseas supplier to return the same. such supplier instructed to Re-export the goods to other country on their behalf. Invoiced the same. For such transaction Advance Amount received in US$ against exp. for shipment and other legitable exp. were transferred by way of Book adjustment against the dues of such Re-export (Import Return) Dues from the supplier. Whether the same is legitimate with special reference to FEMA rules. Authorised dealer (Banker) is persuing for reverting such advance to original supplier and call back the amount of such dues seperately.
