06 January 2009 Could anyone suggest a book/ site on excise wherein details of maintaining excise records/ registers/ forms etc. is given in a simple language?

06 January 2009 The book by Datey is good for explaining the concept, although a bit legalistic. However, this book along with RK Jains Manual is sufficient for procedural requirement.

Thanks a lot for taking out some of your precious time and replying to the query.
No doubt ,the books referred by you are excellent but i was basically interested in a book which the undergraduate articles and the audit staff could easily understand. Hence, request you and to all,if you/ they are aware of any such book ,then please enlighten/ share.
