Applicablity of rebate u/s 87a

Dear Sir,
As per Sec. 87A individuals having Income upto Rs. 5lacs are entitled for rebate of Rs. 2,000/-
I am not very much clear that, it is applicable for FY 2013-14 or 2014-15. When i checked online at incometaxindia.gov.in, it is clearlt mention that it is appl. w.e.f. 01-04-2014, however some writeup says it is available for FY 2013-14.

it is applicable for FY 13-14 i.e AY 14-15 SINCE it was ammended in Finanace ACT 2013.
