Applicability of revised schedule vi

Dear All,
We have finalised our annual accounts as per the Calender year i.e. Jan to Dec 11 and now finalising financials for the Tax Year 2011-12 (April to March 12).
For Calender year, we have prepared our accounts as per old schedule VI but for tax year which schedule to be followed?
a. Revised schedule VI is applicable from when?
b. Is is applicable for the Tax year and Tax financials.
Early revert expected.

It is applicable for Companies Act. Income Tax Act has not yet taken any cognisance.
