23 July 2009 Question : Whether the excise duty is applicable on Ready Made Garments or Semi-Stitched Garments?
If Yes than what be the rate of duty:
If No, than why so & if there is any notification in this regards, if yes please provide me the same?

24 July 2009 No Chp 62/63 of CET exempted vide not 29 + 30 of 2005. The reason it is exempted is that Chidambaram made a budget promise on the same in 2004/5

24 July 2009 Hello Sir,

First thanks for replying my question. Sir, i ready the notification number 29+30/2005, which i studied & found not relevant for my topic. Probably you mistakenly write 29+30/2005.
I found same notification number 29+30 but in year 2004 i.e. 29+30/2004.
So, i request you to please look those notification & guide me towards the solution of my question.
