Advertisement for Company deposits.

What is the advantage of issuing a statement in lieu of Advertisement instead of advertisement for inviting deposits, when every thing is same except for the fact that in statement in lieu you can invit only particular persons the company prefers?

When the deposits are to be taken only from a particular set of persons, there is no point in incurring the expenditure for Advertisement and hence a SLA would be more convenient.
