A business had its GST registration cancelled suo motu due to non-filing of returns and wishes to resume trading. The user is seeking advice on whether to appeal the cancellation, which would require filing all pending GSTR 3B returns and incurring significant penalties, or to apply for a new GST registration. There's discussion around whether a new registration requires a new PAN and if filing a final return is mandatory, with the consensus leaning towards the difficulty of reactivation due to outstanding dues linked to the PAN.

You cannot apply with Same PAN Number , it will give you an Error while filing the Form or even Officer will reject the application on basis of Outstanding dues.
