Working for German firm ,residing in India

08 December 2021 Hi,

i am working for a German company and would like to shift back to India permanently while continuing my current job as software engineer in the same company

The employer is willing to make the offer as remote job but is not sure of how to make it work

what is the feasibility of this and what needs to be done from myside.
The company has no presence in India, it has only one office in Germany

08 December 2021 Its feasible either with salary or on contract basis. For some years you would be RNOR, when any income arrived in foreign country will not be taxed in India. Once you become ROR, your total global income will be taxed in India, while any tax paid in foreign country will be eligible for rebate under DTAA with that country.
