We have Chamber of Commerce of our city as our client. However it is not registered under any Act. Now The Chamber of Commerce wants to avail the PAN under Income Tax Act. I want to know under which entity The Chamber of Commerce falls so as to apply for PAN? Also which are the documents that is required so as to avail the PAN under the entity suggested by you? We have the copy of Constitution of The Chamber of Commerce.

Advise your client to get it Memorandum registered under the Societies Act. After registration you can apply for PAN. In PAN application the status should be mentioned as AOP
