i want to know that the VAT is applicable on the Service Tax amount paid by Hotels in Rajasthan for Banquet Function.
Example:- If the Food Amount is Rs.1000/- VAT @ 14% - Rs.140/- Service Tax @ 10.3% - Rs.103/- Total Bill Amount - Rs.1243/-
Is VAT levy on Service Tax(103/-) as per Rajasthan VAT Act.
