27 August 2010 i am a accountant at a manufacturing company actually we are VAT on bills like purchase of staffwelfare items(tea,coffee,sugar having some large value) and we are paying VAT output on sales here we can set off these Input against Output

27 August 2010 No, VAT on regular office expenses cannot be take as Credit and setoff against Output. Only the trading and business nature VAT input can be taken
