Thank You for your reply. But there is still some doubt in my mind. Ok I have got my letter referred as "has been registered for PCC cum articleship dated 13.03.2007" and letter dated 16.05.2007. So as per date 13.03.2007 the 5 years will be completing on 12.03.2012. So I wont be able to give exam for May 2012??!! Please clarify.

You're absolutely right to seek clarity, and here's the correct interpretation:
---
### โ **Validity of PCC Registration:**
* **PCC (Professional Competence Course)** registration is **valid for 5 years** from the **date of registration** (i.e., the date mentioned in your registration letter). * So, **your registration dated 13.03.2007** will **expire on 12.03.2012**.
---
### โ **May 2012 Attempt Validity:**
* Unfortunately, **you will *not*** be eligible to appear for the **May 2012 attempt**, because:
* Exam forms for May 2012 would typically be submitted in **FebโMarch 2012**, at which time your registration will have **already expired**.
---
### โ **What You Can Do:**
If your PCC registration expired before your exam attempt:
1. **Apply for Revalidation**:
* ICAI allows **revalidation** of registration. You need to fill out the **Revalidation Form** and pay a nominal fee. * As per **ICAI guidelines**, revalidation is possible for a further period of **3 years**.
2. **Switch to IPCC or Intermediate (if applicable)**:
* ICAI discontinued PCC and moved to **IPCC** and now **Intermediate** under the new scheme. * You may be required to convert to the current applicable course (check with ICAI branch or portal).
---
### ๐ Recommendation:
Contact your **nearest ICAI regional office** or check ICAI's official website to confirm the **revalidation process** or **course migration**, especially if you're aiming to resume your CA journey.
Let me know if you'd like help locating the revalidation form or process.
