If you claimed an unknown TDS in your Income Tax Return (ITR) for FY 17-18 and the credit has since disappeared from your Form 26AS, you should pay the amount back. While you've already paid the refund under regular assessment, you may be worried about penalties or prosecution. Rest assured, paying the amount should prevent any further action, and you don't need to worry about jail time.
