As per my visit Udaipur is one of the best city of India in first (transportation) it is some week but in other areas, I think it is good.

Udaipur’s vibe is quite different from Kolkata’s—here’s a quick lowdown:
1. **Transport:** Udaipur has decent local transport—buses, auto-rickshaws, and some cabs—but it’s not as extensive or fast-paced as Kolkata’s metro and tram network. So, transport is okay but a bit limited.
2. **Accommodation:** Plenty of options ranging from budget guesthouses to luxury hotels, especially because it’s a tourist hotspot. Living costs can be reasonable compared to bigger metros.
3. **Shopping:** Good for handicrafts, traditional Rajasthani items, jewelry, and local markets—great for souvenirs. Not as big or diverse as Kolkata’s malls and street markets, but charming in its own way.
4. **Career Prospects:** Udaipur is more known for tourism, hospitality, and some manufacturing. It doesn’t have the same broad industrial or corporate job market like Kolkata or other metros.
Overall, Udaipur feels more laid-back, scenic, and touristy, whereas Kolkata is a bustling metro with a rich cultural and industrial scene. So if you want a quieter city with charm, Udaipur’s great, but if you’re after a metro buzz, Kolkata’s a different experience altogether.
