Section 54G specifies on ' shifting the industrial unit to non urban area'
I have three queries on the above:
1) Should the Assessee continue the same business or can he carryon any other business on the shifted new unit.
Ex: Can a biscuit manufacturer sell his unit in the Urban area and start a confectionery unit at a non urban area?
2) Can the assessee change the name of the concern or should he continue with the same name?
3) Can the assessee shift his new units in two non urban areas at a time.
Ex: An assessee from Hyderabad sells his land and machineries in Urban Area and starts new units at Hyderabad outskirts as well as in Chennai outskirts.
Please clarify me with strong case laws or judgments or relevant sections.
