06 August 2012 I have not deducted any tds during f.y. 2011-12. my query is :

1) Is it compulsory to submit all the four tds returns.
2) I require tds return preperation & filling software. How can I obtain.
3) I require supporting software like java etc for preperation & filling of tds return.
4) What is the procedure to prepare & validate the tds return

08 August 2012 1. It is absolutely mandatory to file the quarterly returns. Otherwise Penalty U/s 272 A(2) will be attracted at the time of assessment.
2. Go to NSDL Site you will get Latest Version of RPU and FVU to prepare and Validate the Return. Alternatively you can use other private softwares which are easily available in the market.
3.You can download the same from NSDL site they provide the link of JRE Utilities on their site.
4. Since this requires a practical knowledge of preparing returns, I advice you to approach your friends or colleagues or seniors those who prepare the return and take a assistance from them. Or do little R&D on last qrt Returns if so available.
