whether tds is deductible against vat if yes then what would be rate of tds

18 October 2013 Tds deducted on vat means what? pls specify the transaction done.

18 October 2013 we have done a contract with one of our vendor he has charged 8% VAT per and the total amount is 19000 including Vat so i just want to know whether tds will be deducted

18 October 2013 No tds to be deducted u/s 194C for works contract if the gross value doesnt exceed rs 30,000 per contract or 75,000 P.A
