03 March 2010 Yes TDS provision are applicable on royalty payment as per Sec 194 J .

Rate of TDS 10%

and if no pan no is provided rate will be 20%

Limit of exmption is 20000 Rs

for more enquiry refer Section 194 J of Income tax Act 1961
