11 January 2009 TDS For rent would be applicable if you paying 120000 for a year or RS 10000 per month.....IF the Payee is Individual then it is 15.45%.If your land lord is a corporate then rent would be 22.66%.IF the land lord is NRI Then 33.99%.You have to pay TDS as rent for each month is more than 10000.Please apply the rate applicable to you in this context....
