Tds on property (form 26qb)

12 February 2018 An assessee has paid tds on a property purchased from a builder in F.Y.2014-15. Now in F.Y 2016-17 if due to some reason he wants to cancel that property and buy another property from the same builder. Whether he will be required to deduct TDS again or we can adjust the TDS amount..how will it work??

12 February 2018 you need to deduct the tds again and cannot take adjustment of the previous tds which has been deducted for some other property

12 February 2018 No way for Adjustment... Assessee will accept the Deduction of TDS again.

13 February 2018 you need to deduct the tds again and cannot take adjustment of the previous tds which has been deducted for some other property

21 October 2021 But you can get back TDS from department, based on cancelled terms.
