26 June 2012 printing charges towards printing of my client company stickers as per company specification amount exceeds 75000 during the year.printed party charged vat on total bill amount ,no separatebill for meterial and printing charges.
the above bill attracted tds or not.please give me answer.

26 June 2012 if you have also provide the matrial to printing company then tds is attracted othewise tds is not applicable.

26 June 2012 If it is contract of work then TDS will be deducted and if it contract for sale of goods then TDS will not be deducted.
In your case, the amount is paid towards the sticker as per company's specification and not only for the paper. The paper is of the small value, however, it is not free from doubt and arguments can always be made till the time suiatble provision is not made.
Accordingly,For safer side, TDS should be deducted on gross amount.
