02 April 2012 Whether I have to deduct TDS on the payment of Leave Encashment paid at the time of resignation.[ not retirement ]

02 April 2012 Leave encashment is taxable in the hands of the employee.

Such leave encashment shall be added to the salary income and tax laibility shall be computed on the total income.
