On 1st October, 2009 there was no TDS deducted on transport contractor please give me the information whether we can deduct the TDS on cargo services or not?
Our Auditor saying that only on Transporter services TDS should not be deducted but on Cargo service TDS is applicable for example
XYZ Cargo Pvt.Ltd. is a cargo Service
XYZ Carriers Pvt.Ltd. is a Transport / Carriers Service
Please give me the Section & sub Section

TDS on Transporter was oblished wef 01-10-09, provided they are having PAN no.
as far as concern Cargo services,must be clarified.
