TDS on advertisements in souvenir

02 March 2010 IS tds is applicable to advertisement in souvenir of 97th Indian Science Congress hosted by UNiversity of Kerala and Indian Space research organisation.( Amount of advertisement in souvenir Rs. 1 lakh). If TDS is applicable at which rate? whose PAN will be quoted ?

02 March 2010 TDS is applicable. The invoice is raised by an Firm and hence the rate of tds will be 2%. PAN number of the firm who would be raising the invoice will be quoted.

Please contact the organisor and request him to send you a proforma invoice or final invoice which should contain the PAN details.

03 March 2010 No. There is no such exemption. Had there been any exemption, then VSSC would have mentiontioned it in their invoice.
