07 December 2009 When one pvt ltd co. pays reimbursemnet to its franchisee co. for advertisement expenses, whether its liability of franchisee co. to deduct and pay TDS or of the co. who reimburses the tds expenses. Pls reply its urgent.

07 December 2009 The primarily the duty of deduction is with the payer of the income. In this case the payer of the income is the franchise to the contractor, hence he need to deduct TDS from the contractor while making payment.
