I have got a query regarding tds filing. If tds of quarter1 is remitted in quarter2 can we file tds return in quarter2 or revise quarter1 if its already filed? Can you please mention under which section.

29 November 2013 you need to revise Q1 return. you are required to file TDS return with respect to TDS deductible during the respective period. If you have paid tax later on, that wont means that you would include it in the next return. apply common sense. If you pay income tax for last year in the current year then would you reflect in the last year's return or current year??

29 November 2013 If rent is paid in april and tds itself is deducted in next quarter. Then what will be your view.

29 November 2013 same as before....the deduction was due in april...if you deduct late, you are required to pay penal interest too.
