Tds deduct on license purchase

We are purchase Windows 7 Genuine and MS Excel and party charges in bill vat+service tax both

so can u pls. tell TDS deduct or not if deduct then which u/s ???

please reply asap

19 December 2011 TDS not required to be deducted in the given case as it is a purchase transaction.

19 December 2011 Does not matter. The Software is not customized as per the requirement of the user i.e. it's off the shelf software and therefore TDS not required to be deducted.
