I have a Travel Agency in UAE, I plany to buy tickets from India to sell in UAE market.
When I buy ticket from India ther are discount / commission offered on ticket.
Are the agents in India who issue the ticket suppose to Diduct TDs on such discount / commission.
Please advise.

02 August 2011 Yes ,Airlines will deduct TDS & you will have to file return in India for the commission income you earn in india .

02 August 2011 Fiule your return in India and get the tax credit as well as refund.

If you are buying ans selling tickets in India then only you are liable otherwise you may ask the airlines that Section 9 of Income Tax Act is not applicable to you and you can procure a Nil deduction certificate from the concerned authorities.
