10 April 2010 Hello to all,

In Last Budget,It Was Proposed & Passed That Under Section 194C, The Deductor Will Not Deduct TDS of Contractor if He Received The PAN Copy from Contractor & Fill Some Form /Format & Submitt to Department.

May I Know The Procedure of Same.

Any One Have That Format for Submitting to Department for Not Deducting TDS.

10 April 2010 There was not proposed in last budget that deducter will not deduct the TDS on contractor if he recd PAN no.
It is only for transporter case , if transporter will provide pan no, then there is no need to deduct TDS on transporter u/s 194C.

10 April 2010 Agree, this provision is only for Transporter. For rest of the contrators, TDS is still applicable even if they provide PAN.
