17 March 2018 dear experts, if an employee gets 2,90,000 per annum for the FY 2017-18, should employer be required to deduct TDS?. there is no investment declaration from the employee.

17 March 2018 NO, Upto Rs.250000/- Tax exemption is there addition additional rebate 2500 u/s 87a applicable taxable salary upto 350000/- so you will not come under Income tax bracket.

17 March 2018 sir but what if the employee has income from other sources but didn't give any declaration. is there any problem for the company in future.

17 March 2018 If you not furnished other sources of Income you have to pay tax declaring same in your return and pay applicable taxes if exceeds threshold limit
