Tds

This query is : Resolved

05 December 2014 I bought a property and was supposed to deposit TDS of Rs. 27,000 but have by mistake deposited 2,70,000 i.e. an excess of 2.5 lacs of rupees. HOW can this excess money be refunded.

The seller is unwilling to adjust the excess amount so deposited from the final sale consideration as he was already having a cash crunch

Please help .

05 December 2014 Deductor shall file Form 26B in order to claim refund of excess TDS deposited and that form shall be furnished by the deductor electronically under digital signature.
