19 July 2026 House property held by mother and daughter jointly has been rented. Daughter pays the Emi and the rental income is credited in mother's account. Can the mother show the rent income fully in her ITR or it has to be divided as per their share. Please guide

20 July 2026 The mother cannot show 100% of the rent in her ITR. The rental income must be divided and declared by both the mother and daughter strictly according to their ownership share in the property, regardless of whose bank account receives the funds.
