If Rent is Short Deducted in F Y 2009-2010
and while finalising return we want to deduct tax then at what rate the interest is payable?

Interest on late payment is tds is upto 30th June 2010 is 1% P.m afterwards , from 1st JULY it is 1.5% p.m
Now you have to caculate interst from the month from which short deduction is made.
