Tailoring whether service tax is applicable.

My client has a Tailoring shop with Gross Receipts above Rs. 10 Lakhs. Is Service Tax applicable.

W.e.f 1st July 2012 the service is taxable.

Tailor manufactures garments from cloth and therefore not liable for service tax. If at all the same is manufacture and as of now not liable.

I think as Tailoring / Stiching Clothes is a Manufacturing Activity hence Service Tax is not applicable. Am I correct.
