08 February 2014 I have completed IT training and orientation progarmme in CA whether there is any exemption for computer exam and SIP programme in ACS? kindly help me..

For Computer Training you will have to appear for sify exemption test.

10 February 2014 Please tell me about sify exemption test.If I could not able to clear the sify exam can I continue with computer exam ? Kindly help me.

25 July 2025 Here’s a clear answer about **SIP and computer exam exemptions in ACS course**:

---

### 1. SIP (Student Internship Programme):

* **No exemption** is granted in SIP even if you have completed IT training or orientation in CA.
* SIP is **mandatory** for ACS students as per ICSI rules.
* You must complete the SIP program to qualify for the next steps.

### 2. Computer Training & Exemption Test (SIFY Exam):

* To get exemption from the compulsory Computer Training module in ACS, you have to clear the **SIFY exemption test** conducted by ICSI.
* If you **fail the SIFY exam**, you are **not exempted** and will have to complete the Computer Training.
* You **cannot skip** the computer exam if you don’t clear SIFY test; you must appear and qualify in Computer Training and Computer Exam as per course requirement.
