Short term capital gain on sale of units of mutual funds

29 August 2011 If i have short term capital gain from sale of units of MF in the AY 2010-11. due to over sight i have omitted it. now in AY 2011-12 Iam offering the same to tax. In the AY 2011-12 i also have short term capital loss on sale of units of MF. can the gain of the earlier year and the loss of the current year be set off.
