31 January 2017 In case of a Business-entity procuring services from Individual legal-advocate working on a Retainer-ship basis having total-income below Rs. 10 lakhs with the entity , will the entity still be liable to pay Service tax RCM ? Note that the business-entity's turnover exceeds 10 lakhs.
The S.T RCM provision imposes liability on Business-entity for services recieved from Individual legal-advocate. But, can it be implied via Service-tax basic-exemption limit that if the legal-fee paid to Individual-retainer is less than Rs. 10 lakhs, entity be also exempted from RCM-liability?

31 January 2017 As business entity's turnover exceeds 10 lacs RCM applicable to business entity irrespective the quantum of payment to advocate.
