Service tax on insurance payout

I am a insurance agent, and my average yearly payout from icici lombard is around Rs4.0-5.0 lac, do i need to register for service tax, that is can i avail exemptiont till Rs.10.00 lac in a year.

Yes u can avail the exemtion upto 10L

I think you can not avail the exemption, since you are acting as an agent of a branded company and using their name as well as working on their behalf.
