Would like to know whether service tax can be availed by the taxpayer paid on GTA Services

Secondly, what is the timelimit once can take credit of service tax paid on any other services

28 May 2010 Service tax paid on GTA service can be taken as cenvat Credit, provided the the GTA service qualifies to be input service in terms of Rule 2(i) of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004.

No time limit is prescribed for taking credit. It should be within a reasonable time. 6 month is often considered as resonable.
