15 January 2010 Service tax on commercial & residential rent for immovable property applicable or not.

15 January 2010 The service tax department has filed an appeal before the supreme court against the decision of the delhi high court regarding non levy of service tax on immovable property. So currently everyone is charging service tax on such rent as the decision received is not final

16 January 2010 But,then,unless the decision of Delhi high Court is accepted by revenue,the matter is not free from doubt.
