Respected Members,
A state government company is doing work of selection of consultants for preparation of DPR (Detailed Project reports) for State Government project and received a fixed % as agency charges on every payment made to the consultants .
Now the question is that,
Whether this company is liable to pay service tax on this agency charges which it received from state government or not?If yes, in what head it requires to get registration?
Please Help with proper head of service.

It is under Management Consultancy Services.
The State Govt company should apply for registration.

A Company is hiring a 4 wheeler from an individual on monthly rent basis. Is Reverse Charge Mechanism is applicable? If yes, then in what head the company is required to get registered in Service Tax as the company is not having service tax registration presently.

the classification per se has LOST its importance since the inception of negative list. once u r registered under MCS, it is sufficient
