Ser.tax liabilities on income of commission and rent income

My brother recieved commission income for Rs. 8 Lacs and other 2.1 Lacs received income from Rent, So he has liable for service tax registration?.....if yes he can recieved exemption for Rs.10 lacs every year.

Yes he is liable for service tax registration. Exemption of 10 lacs available for first year only.
