Can a person file his salary return without form 16 which is issued by the employer?

Is this form is require for filing of return of salary?

14 September 2011 Form 16 is required for filing of income tax return -In case of paper filing.
In case of electronic filing Form-16 may be called by the ITO to check the correctness it is advised to preserve Form-16 in original.

14 September 2011 Sir, but there is one case where emloyer are not issueing the salary certificate (form 16), then how to file return?
and it is compulsory to issue form 16 by all employer?

14 September 2011 An employer normally will have TAN, he has to issue Form 16 if he is not issuing you can complain to the concerned TDS circle of the Income Tax Ddepartment.

14 September 2011 he does not have TAN, in this can employee file his salary return on the basis of his bank detail and/or by obtaining a certificate from employer's letter head.

14 September 2011 Better to file his salary return as per as indicated to avoid late filing.

14 September 2011 No need to memorize, if you understand the Standards thoroughly.
Read Accounting Standards which are written in Italics/Bold 3 or 4 times.
Better to refer Business Dictionary wherever you do not understand difficult words.
This will be sufficient I hope so.
