28 July 2014 Thank you. More specifically, will it lie under RoC Mumbai's jurisdiction? Thane has not been mentioned explicitly under either Pune or Mumbai RoCs.

Thane falls under the RoC Mumbai jurisdiction.

Even though Thane isn’t always explicitly mentioned, it is part of the Mumbai RoC circle because Thane district is within the Mumbai RoC’s territorial limits.

So for all ROC filings and compliance, a company registered in Thane should approach the RoC Mumbai office.
