30 October 2017 You can file rectification selecting option of tax mismatch.

30 October 2017 You can file a revised return. You will get a refund for balance amount.

Why can't you follow me on twitter. Follow me on Twitter @CAysilkarunai for more interactions, knowledge sharings etc., Do it now!

30 October 2017 But how can you revise return after receiving intimation......

30 October 2017 i think 143(1) is not equalant to intimation for the purpose 139(5).

31 October 2017 Intimation is a summary only and not completion of assessment.. we can file a revised return and claim refund for balance. Why can't you follow me on twitter. Follow me on Twitter @CAysilkarunai for more interactions, knowledge sharings etc., Do it now!

31 October 2017 You can also claim refund by rectification only... No need to revise.....

31 October 2017 if i go for revised return then what about tds already refunded there is place in itr where mentioned refund received on the basis of original return.

31 October 2017 and in rectification only tds other then salary available for rectification

01 November 2017 You can fill details of all TDS you want to claim as refund in rectification.....

02 November 2017 Though it's correct that intimation does not amount to assessment as per Supreme Court verdict also, nevertheless since return is already processed you cannot revise it. Better option is to go for rectification and claim balance refund.

02 November 2017 The intimation is not a completion of assessment as I said earlier. I have personally had an experience about the same situation mentioned above. I have filed a revised return after receiving intimation and got a refund for balance amount. So it is not correct to say that the return can't be revised. It is one of the option you can go for revision. Rectification also possible but, if i have an any number of option for revising return i will go for that only.

Catch me on twitter for more interactions @CAysilkarunai

02 November 2017 I would like to add that in case going for revised return, and claiming balance TDS as it now shows in 26AS, make sure that you have shown the entire income/credit as shown by 26AS in your revised return.
