it is provided in the act that a return can be revised only when original return is filed as per sec. 139(1).
in my case the return of a.y 08-09 was filed in march 09 then how can it be revised?
please clarify

Revised return can not be filed now.

This can't be revised now, could only be revised if was filed up to 31st july 08 or 30th Sept 08 as the case may be.

The revised return can be filed up to one year from the end of assessmet year if it is filed in pursuance of section 139(a) in our case the return has been filed in pursuance of section 139(4). The revision is not possible in this case.
