What is the accounting treatment of revenue grant as per As-12.Please journalise

There are 2 methods of recording revenue grants:
1. Credit the grant to the P&L Account
Bank A/c Dr.
To Grant
2. Reduce the grant from the related expense:
Expense A/c Dr
To Grant
